  JWs just not important in this world no matter what they/we want to believe

  for most of us raised in the "truth" and i hate to use that term, we were brought up/and or taught to believe we were very important in this world.

  the message being preached, god's chosen people, yadda yadda.. so as we leave this religion, the things we can point to as being news worthy, those breaking the law in the ranks, coverups etc....its really small potatoes in the world at large, although to this group it is huge.. i believe that part of the letting go of the witness mentality is recognizing that in the end its all just a small cult that captured your soul, or you were born in and had no choice.

  it sucks bigtime, its larger than life for most of us, but in the bigger picture of life its a very small blip.. there is no question this religion has ruined/destroyed many lives, but to the world at large it isn't big enough to make a differnece to those not involved.. in reality, to use a horrible analolgy.....the jw's are just a pimple on the butt of the world.. .

  Life Update

  iv been busy, just an update really.

  still not been to a meeting, my friends are distancing themselves now, im being more open about my feelings towards the body of elders and inproper methods they use to deal with things.

  its hard, yet its very liberating.

  Good for you! This is wonderful news! Taking your life into your own hands is so rewarding. It touches me deeply (electric shock) how I was the one who answered or ignored my own prayers. We do answer or ignore ourselves. What an inspiring story:) Good luck in getting into med. school.

  Jehovah's Witness Tragedy: 24 dead; 13 in critical condition

  in nigeria, a bus carrying mostly jehovah's witness women, collided with a large truck on a return trip from a wedding ceremony.

  24 died; doctors at a hospital are trying to save 13 others.

  and when is the last time fds wt did a major study to check on accuracy of carbon dating anyway???...............................oompa.

  A flag keeps them away? It didn't keep me away, and neither did X-mas lights and deco's. Tresspassing signs didn't work, either. They figure that they are defying visual representations of Satan when going to a decorated house. What works? A big dog inside the fence. The sisters will say that the brothers can get that one, and they pass it up. All JW sisters are afraid of dogs at houses.

  Jehovah's Witnesses Celebrates Thanksgiving

  every year we (non-jw family) have thanksgiving at my grandma's house, all the jw family comes over on friday to eat left overs or take a plate home.

  ok i think i've posted before on here about how thats a load of crap, it's still thanksgiving dinner no matter what.

  i just heard that a family member who is the family jw nazi, is coming to my grandma's on thanksgiving day!!
